I found your details ...Dear American in Oberursel,

I found your details on your blog, I hope you might be able to help me with my strange request!

I am a Producer working on a television show called House Hunters International in New York which follows English speaking expats in their quest to purchase a house abroad. I am hoping to find an English speaking expat to profile who has moved to and bought property in Germany within the last few years. I wonder if you or anyone you might know might be interested in getting involved?! Please find a little blurb about the show below:

House Hunters International is a half-hour program currently airing on the Home and Garden Television Network (HGTV). The program is a spin-off of the popular House Hunters and has spent the last several seasons exploring the idiosyncrasies of buying real estate in other countries. HHI is about a personal journey of discovery and the making of life-long dreams.

The series is designed to de-mystify the international home-buying process by going behind the scenes of a house hunt where buyers and their real estate agents tour 3 homes. At its core, House Hunters International is a travel show concentrating on the idiosyncrasies of the locales and what makes them special and different. A great deal of effort will be made to capture rich visuals and to provide sequences where viewers will be exposed to local vistas, traditions, lifestyles and architecture.

Please get in touch if you have any more questions about the show. I look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes and many thanks,

Michelle

Michelle James
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER LEOPARD FILMS
1-3 St Peter's Street, London N1 8JD - +44 20 7288 2184
michelle.james@leopardfilms.com
www.leopardfilms.comMichelle Jameshttp://www.leopardfilms.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8285642901369047164.post-70653717516022172692010-08-28T09:26:49.213-07:002010-08-28T09:26:49.213-07:00France? Where can I find more info (see pics of homes, etc?) Also looking into Taunus hills Bad Homburg, Bad Soden, Kronberg and
Königstein...." You've certainly identified some of the most expensive areas to live in. Here is my opinion...
Oberursel - > Some very nice pockets of very nice home. North West Oberursel is by the Frankfurt International School which if you can afford, is one of the best schools around!
Oberursel's shopping district is so so...but if you like hiking and the trails, they are plenty, and they are nice!
Bad Homburg - Wonderful shopping district!! Wonderful parks in the center of town. Just incredible. Wonderful baths and swimming pools, wellness center etc. Probably my pick for general ammenities. Close to Oberursel, as it's 12 minutes from our home in north west Oberursel, and we visit the pools & parks all of the time.
Kronberg and Koenigstein -> These are very wealthy areas, close to the only Golf Course I've run across in the area, but never understood what made them "special". They do have an appeal that has attracted many of the bankers from Frankfurt to these areas...but still don't top Bad Homburg in my opinion.
Bad Soden -> We havent seen this area yet.
