Running Around

I was in the UK for four days and saw a little bit of the London Marathon, among other sights. Afterwards, I read about the 101-year-old man and the 6 Masaai warriors who participated but I didn't see them while I watched runners pass by Mile 23, near the Tower of London.

Oxford really impressed me as a tourist destination. It's just all around beautiful. I saw the Alice in Wonderland stained glass window at Christ Church Hall, stood in one of the old red telephone booths and ate fish and chips.

The following weekend, B and I went to Königstein castle. We should have brought a flashlight for the cavernous passages under the ruins. That day was absolutely beautiful offering great views of the surrounding area. We treated ourselves to lunch and a huge vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries at an Italian restaurant in town.
